Having over 20 years experience working in Architectural Design I started my own company Howes Designs Ltd in 2015. 

I started out my career in a high end bespoke joinery company (Marston & Langinger). It is here I developed my skills for surveying and producing plans for both site and joinery workshop. 

The work also enabled me to travel the world working in places such as New York, Boston, Washington, Oslo, Dublin, Venice, Jersey and all over the UK. This meant dealing with all kinds of Planning & Building Regulations, broadening my knowledge of how different areas work.

After 7 years here I decided to build on my knowledge and move to SMG Architects (formally Stead Mutton Associates) who were about to expand. 

This is where I was able to develop my skills and assist others in the growth of the business being a Senior Associate prior to leaving.

It was here I worked on most areas of architecture from small extensions to blocks of flats and retail units. I pride myself on gaining a good rapport with all clients, builders and consultants alike.

As well as the theory of building, I also worked on converting a 200 year old barn in my evenings and weekends with my brother. We gained good practical experience in seeing the building process from the clients and builders point of view.

I currently live here with my wife, three daughters and our little dog.
